Hi, I'm Stephanie. I created open.gis.lab as way to share my GIS experience, knowledge and skills with others. Started in 2016, the original intent was to help foster the open source GIS community in Hawaii (where I lived then). The site has since grown to include many readers from around the world with a shared interest in GIS. My hope is that this online lab will continue to provide an opportunity for emerging and established GIS professionals to share and learn from each other.

I am a certified GISP with 20+ years of experience in various fields, ranging from urban and environmental geography, Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), renewable energy & sustainability, utilities, natural, cultural and historical resource management, and housing demographics.
